Tell us about your Spray Plant 2K journey

I went to school at Boston Spa Academy which is also where I went to sixth form. I studied applied science, business and sport science. After leaving sixth form I was working in warehouses as a warehouse operative. I had no previous experience as an engineer so Mark, Dave and the rest of the team gave me a massive opportunity with this role. I joined sprayplant 2k in march of 2021 when I was 19 years old.

My role at Spray Plant 2K is Service Engineer. This involves providing quotes customer units that are in for either a service or repair, going on-site to help customers if they have broken down or having problems, to get them back up and running as soon as possible. My role also involves keeping our hire fleet machines in tip top condition, ready for their next job.

My role has evolved over the last two years, gradually working on bigger and more complex machines. Also going from working in the workshop only to travelling all over the UK for services and repairs.

What do you like about working at SP2K?

I like the fact that we are a small team. It means you get to know everyone on a good level and build strong relationships. Everyone likes to help everyone out, unless it me and Alfie, who like to race each other to see who can get a pump cleaned the fastest!

Tell us about any hobbies and interests you have outside of work.

Outside of work I like to spend my time playing football for Oulton United FC. I also enjoy playing Golf but only in the summer when the weather is good.
